Last summer large numbers of silver Y moths arrived at around the same time as the spectacular influx of painted lady butterflies. Haven't seen any painted ladies this year and only a modest number of silver Y moths, but those that I have seen along the Durham coast have been irresistibly drawn to clover flowers - easily probed for nectar with that long proboscis.
