So, at sixty six years of age, thanks to your photograph and title, I eventually learn the true meaning of the phrase.(Slaps forehead and wanders off, confused again).Thank you Phil; I do, as you know, like to learn something most days.
These birds always seem to be at it; all through the year.I'm coming back as a Dove. :-)
It didn't really dawn on me until I photographed this amorous behaviour, toffeeapple...
