I've seen it on old opencast coal site baffle banks, railway yards and in some 'urban wastelands' that look unpromising as wildlife sites.Philhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15609107148344256875noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4998479738444661160.post-5343074066225403362010-12-23T11:19:27.861+00:002010-12-23T11:19:27.861+00:00It was a good idea of mine to look back through ot...It was a good idea of mine to look back through other blogs to see where the writers find their wildlife. Dingy skippers seem to have a very varied taste in habitats. I've sometimes found small populations on baffle banks around opencast coal sites and I've heard that some of the best remaining colonies are on brown field sites in industrial and urban areas.Philhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15609107148344256875noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4998479738444661160.post-67065639594763644612010-05-16T15:35:10.853+00:002010-05-16T15:35:10.853+00:00Hi Keith, I went back to the same spot yesterday a...Hi Keith, I went back to the same spot yesterday and found scores of dingy skippers feeding on the bird'sfoot trefoil that's just coming into flower.Philhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15609107148344256875noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4998479738444661160.post-88071777916352884662010-05-13T18:50:58.464+00:002010-05-13T18:50:58.464+00:00Beautiful butterfly and picture, Phil.Beautiful butterfly and picture, Phil.Emma Andersonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04385447781203785369noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4998479738444661160.post-52324582195385766272010-05-13T17:35:11.059+00:002010-05-13T17:35:11.059+00:00Not dingy at all, are they Phil.
