Wonderful! The only meteorological book on my shelves is an Observers Book of Weather from the 1960s. And it's wonderful to know that there are others out there who share my propensity to wile away time admiring passing clouds. If I have any serious work to do I always make sure that I'm not near a window with a view of the sky. I rather like Rob's idea of cloud-themed beers (barman, my beer's not cloudy enough!) - if I was starting my own micro-brewery (an attractive thought) I'd probably start with a dark ale with a white head that I might call thundercloud (all hell breaks loose after the first pint) ....Philhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15609107148344256875noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4998479738444661160.post-42362162147045175932012-02-26T10:52:10.708+00:002012-02-26T10:52:10.708+00:00That's interesting, I don't know about a n...That's interesting, I don't know about a name but there is a cloud appreciation society...

http://cloudappreciationsociety.org/Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4998479738444661160.post-49658571243155789352012-02-26T10:26:29.924+00:002012-02-26T10:26:29.924+00:00Looks like Altocumulus lenticularis to me.Looks like Altocumulus lenticularis to me.Scriptor Senexhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17795521284516432520noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4998479738444661160.post-9665258768158068142012-02-26T09:42:37.947+00:002012-02-26T09:42:37.947+00:00Lenticular, Phil, and I'm green with envy :o)Lenticular, Phil, and I'm green with envy :o)Imperfect and Tensehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07348507012722069785noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4998479738444661160.post-13429311301020623402012-02-26T09:20:37.260+00:002012-02-26T09:20:37.260+00:00Seems to be lenticularis from the Guardian's f...Seems to be lenticularis from the Guardian's free cloud chart.
