Heather as far as the eye can see

A few pictures of the heather moorland above Blanchland in Northumberland looking fabulous this morning. Surprised to see peacock butterflies nectaring out on the heather.

  3. The heather is stunning this year. I need to go visit it rather than admiring from afar.

  5. How beautiful, Phil. By the way that your walker seems to be dressed up warmly, I guess that you are having the same unseasonably cold and windy weather that we're experiencing in the Midlands.
