Dazed and Confused

This fledgling wren whizzed past us in a whirr of tiny wings and crash-landed on a branch just a few feet away, when we were walking at St.John's Chapel in Weardale, County Durham yesterday
I think it was still struggling to master the finer points of flight. Up in the branches above us, we could hear some very agitated parents........

  2. Lol, awwww bless it. At least it's parents are keeping watch nearby. I agree with holdingmoments.... the last photograph is indeed priceless. It looks so determined! :D

  5. Hi David, Keith, Lesley, lotusleaf,John and Adrian ..... it's amazing, I've been trying unsuccessfully to photograph wrens for ages and then this one almost landed on the end of my lens. The only predictable thing about nature photography is that the best opportunities are always unpredictable....
